Check To Do - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the iOS app Check To Do (bundle ID com.restaurantapps.checktodo), published by B-Team, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app. By using Check To Do you agree to this policy.

1. What Check To Do is

Check To Do is a shared prep checklist for restaurants and cafes. A store owner creates a store, shares the Store ID with staff, and the team works through the same real-time list together. The app is built on Apple StoreKit (for subscriptions) and Firebase (for accounts, data, and sync).

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up or sign in we store:

Your email address (and a lowercase copy for lookups)
Your sign-in provider identifier (Apple, Google, or email/password)
Your Firebase user ID (a unique anonymous identifier issued by Firebase)
A 6-digit account ID generated at signup

Store and team information. If you create or join a store we store:

The 7-digit store ID and store name
Your role in the store (owner or staff) and the store's owner ID
Membership of other people in the same store (their email, role, and user ID)

Content you create. Anything you add to a store is stored in Firebase so it can sync to teammates:

Pages, sections, and prep items (text, quantity, completion status, colour, order)
Recipe notes attached to items
Backups you export
An activity log of who did what and when (add, edit, complete, delete, etc.)

Subscription information. If the store owner subscribes to Pro, we receive and store from Apple:

Product identifier, transaction ID, and original transaction ID
Subscription status and the next renewal date

We never see or store your payment card, Apple ID password, or billing address. Apple handles all of that.

Technical information. Firebase logs minimal operational data (request times, error codes) used to keep the service running and to investigate abuse or outages.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. How we use information

To create and run your account and your store.
To sync your list with other members of the same store in real time.
To process and verify your subscription with Apple.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and recover from errors.
To respond to support requests you send us.

5. Who sees your data

Other members of your store can see the store's list, sections, items, recipes, backups, and activity log. They cannot see your subscription details.
Firebase (Google LLC) hosts authentication, the database, and cloud functions. Data is processed in the australia-southeast1 region.
Apple handles sign-in (if you use Sign in with Apple) and all subscription billing.
Google handles sign-in if you choose Google. Email/password sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your account and store data remain until you delete them. To delete your account:

Open Check To Do - Account tab.
Tap Delete account.

This permanently removes your user record. If you were the only owner of a store, delete or transfer the store first (Store tab -> Danger Zone -> Delete Store). Backups exported to your device are not affected by account deletion.

You can also email support@b-team.app to request deletion.

7. Children

Check To Do is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is stored by Firebase with their standard encryption. Access is controlled by Firestore security rules so only members of your store can read or write its data. No system is perfectly secure - please use a strong password and keep your device locked.

9. International users

Check To Do is operated from Australia, with data processed in the australia-southeast1 Google Cloud region. By using the app you consent to your data being processed there.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use of Check To Do after a change means you accept the updated policy.
